Interim registration is also possible for applicants who have met the educational standards for registration but have not yet gained the experience to satisfy the professional competences for full registration. For more details, please click here. In September 2013, Reciprocal Recognition Agreement or RRA which has been signed between the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or HKIE and the Institution of Fire Engineers or IFE allows Members of Fire Discipline in the HKIE and Chartered Engineers of IFERG in the IFE to apply for each other’s membership through RRA route.
